X-TOOLはドリル穴の入口、出口、プライマリ穴の横穴開口部の面取り・バリ取りを、ワンパスで完了することが出来る工具です。 X-TOOL is a tool that can complete chamfering and deburring of entrances and exits of drilled holes, and side hole openings of primary holes in one pass.

It is possible to chamfer not only entrances and exits of holes that are perpendicular to the flat plate, but also side holes (*1, *2)
drilled in the primary hole and oblique holes (*3). *1: Machining is possible from either the secondary side or the primary side.
*2: The horizontal hole diameter to be chamfered from the primary side is Φ0.5mm or more.
*3: Up to 10° tilt angle of the hole is applicable.

The X-TOOL consists of four parts, including the main body, and has a structure in which the spring constantly pushes the tip.
Tip replacement can be done simply by removing the cap with a flathead screwdriver, so it can be done easily, reliably, and in a short time.

The apex of the tip that contacts the inner wall of the hole has a guide surface with no cutting edge processed into an R shape, making it difficult to scratch the inner diameter.
The standard cutting edge angle is 90°, but it can be changed as an option.
There are two types of tip, a single-edged type for chamfering the entrance and exit of holes drilled in a flat plate, and a double-edged type for chamfering horizontal holes drilled in the primary hole.

面取りの仕組み How chamfering works

Insert the drill hole and X-TOOL concentrically while rotating forward.
When the tip pressed by the spring touches the edge of the entrance, It is pushed toward the center while chamfering, and the feed chamfering is completed until the tip enters the drill hole.
The exit side is chamfered by pulling out the tip in the same way.

There are two types of X-TOOL tips: single-edged and double-edged, so the machining method differs depending on the tip used.
This varies depending on the processing location.

  • 片刃タイプは正転のみ、両刃タイプは正転・逆転の加工が必要となります。 The single-edged type requires forward rotation only, and the double-edged type requires both forward and reverse processing.
  • 開口部の形状によりますが、平板にあけられた直角交差以外は両刃タイプでの正転・逆転加工が必要となることがあります。 Although it depends on the shape of the opening, it may be necessary to perform forward/reverse processing with a double-edged blade, except for right-angled crossings made on flat plates.
  • バリの大きさや被削材の材質により、開口部を正回転・逆回転のそれぞれで往復加工をさせる必要があります。 Depending on the size of the burr and the material of the work material, it may be necessary to reciprocate the opening in both forward and reverse rotations.
